Waterfront Schedule of Events for 2011

May 7 - Boat Parade – Traditional Delta opening day of the boating season is marked in Suisun City with a boat parade and blessing of the fleet.

May 8 - Mother’s Day Artisan Faire - More than 40 vendors featuring unique hand-crafted wares will be on the waterfront. Visit them after the special breakfast, brunch or lunch you enjoy with your Mom in the Waterfront District. Enjoy live music, meet the artists and get Mom a special gift!

May 21 - Golden Hills Mustang Show – The Golden Hills Mustang Club presents its 27th Annual Biggest Little Car Show "Celebrating the First Mustangs 1964 1/2" on Harbor Plaza. Enjoy nearly 100 classic cars, car-related vendors, music and more in a beautiful waterfront setting while benefitting Heather House.


June 11 - Shore Fest – Celebrate the start of summer with an old-fashioned day at the shore in the Waterfront District. Come enjoy live music throughout the day, dozens of arts and crafts vendors, beer and margaritas to support the Suisun City Police and Fire Boosters, specialty food items by local restaurants, children’s rides, synthetic ice skating rink and an evening movie.  This year, experience the State Fireman’s Muster featuring antique fire equipment and contests of skill and strength up and down Main Street. Plan to spend the night to catch live high speed jet ski racing action and the final day of the State Fireman’s Muster.

June 12 - Diablo Jet Ski Races – The thrills of high-adrenaline jet ski racing action presented by Diablo Jet Ski action in the most challenging race course on the Northern California circuit.  Suisun City’s Waterfront is the only place in the region to offer 270-degree race viewing up close to the action!  Come on Saturday for Shore Fest, and plan to spend the night to catch all the action.  Plus, experience the final day of the State Fireman’s Muster right on Main Street!

June 17 – Aug. 26 - Friday Nights on the Waterfront – A free live concert outdoors on Harbor Plaza every Friday with a different regional band. Beer and margaritas availaable for sale to support the Suisun City Police and Fire Boosters.

June 18 – Aug. 27 (excluding 4th of July weekend )- Saturday Night at the Movies – A free family movie outdoors on Harbor Plaza at dusk each week.

June 19 – Aug. 28 (excluding 4th of July weekend) - Sunday Waterfront Jazz Series – A free live Jazz concert each Sunday afternoon in picnic environment. Grab a blanket, a picnic lunch or takeout, and enjoy some cool – or hot – jazz under the cool breezes of the Suisun City Waterfront. A perfect way to cap a local weekend wine-tasting getaway.

July 4 - Independence Day Spectacular – Suisun City is the place to be to do July 4th right.  Live entertainment, vendors and food all day long. When the sun goes down, the region’s largest fireworks display is fired right over the placid waters of the Suisun City Marina.  Simply, the most authentic, small-town celebration in the region.

July 30 - Diablo Jet Ski Races – The outlaw racers from Diablo Jet Ski Action are back in Suisun City for the final time in the 2011 season.

Aug. 14 – Yahoo Suisun Harbor Criterium – The California Cup Circuit returns to Suisun City’s Waterfront for a day of fast, heart-pumping bike racing featuring some of the circuit’s best professional and top amateur cyclists. The fast, flat circuit course means the seven races will hit some of the fastest speeds of any course this season.

Oct. 1 - Waterfront Festival featuring Art, Wine & Chocolate -  Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 1, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the annual Waterfront Festival at Harbor Plaza in Suisun City.  Celebrate the Suisun City Waterfront by sampling dozens of the top wines from the up-and-coming Suisun Valley appellation coupled with terrific chocolate treats. Dozens of unique arts and craft vendors will display and sell their art creations. Live musical entertainment.  Wine tastings are $20 for eight 1 oz. tastes and includes a free commemorative glass. Plus, the 9th annual Bake-Off with categories for original cakes, pies and more.

Oct. 31 - Halloween Parade – For nearly 60 years, the Suisun City Firefighters Association has sponsored the Halloween Parade and Costumer Contest, featuring a parade down Main Street, awards and – of course – tons of candy.  Merchants trick or treat will follow. Old-fashioned small town fun. 

Nov. 26-27 - Old World Market - The Old World Christmas Market is a holiday tradition started in 2009, bringing a bit of Europe to the Suisun Waterfront. More than 35 crafters are scheduled to be at the event. This year's event will be held Saturday & Sunday Nov. 26 and 27 and Saturday & Sunday Dec. 3 and 4 at Harbor Plaza. The focal point of the Old World Christmas Market are nine charming European-style wooden stalls decorated with garland and strung with lights for Christmas, and 10' x 10' tents all brimming with unique holiday and hostess gifts, decorations and tasty treats!

Nov. 26 - Snow Day on the Waterfront (tentative) - As part of the opening day of the Old World Christmas Market, the Suisun City Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District (SCHWBID) has partnered with the Matt Garcia Foundation to bring free snow for children 12 and under to play in at the Suisun City Waterfront. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting, snow will be blown in the vacant lot east of Air Land and Sea Travel, and north of Athenian Grill. The snow will be located in the vacant lot east of Air Land and Sea Travel, and north of Athenian Grill and will be approximately 1,000 square feet, with one foot deep of snow.  Twenty tons of ice will be chopped and blown by Glacier Ice of Fremont to cover the area.

Dec. 2–4 - Harbor Plaza Skate Rink – Part of the Christmas at the Waterfront event

Dec. 3 - Christmas at the Waterfront – Primed by the Old World Christmas Market, officially welcome the holiday season with this full day celebration featuring holiday vendors, food, live music, hay wagon rides, lighted boat parade, bonfire, outdoor synthetic ice skating rink, Christmas tree lighting, fireworks, charity Christmas tree auction and more!
